A wonderful family adventure
For over 60 years now, with our teams we have been writing the history of the Hotel Restaurant Julien & Spa. We are happy to share with you the love of our region, and the passion of our profession.
It all begain in 1955, when Yvette and Julien Goetz opened a restaurant inn in Fouday in Alsace with 5 rooms. The address quickly became known for its friendliness and for "Yvette's Appetizers!"
A new generation arrived with Gérard and his wife Marylène who took over the family home in 1976. Renovation, construction of a veranda and a terrace, modernisation of the rooms followed... The years went by, bringing along all their improvements.
For us, the year 2000 ushered in the Spa and the opening of the first swimming pool. A decisive step in our history providing new services for our guests. Next came the arrival of the third generation with Hélène in 2003 and Eléonore in 2007.
The restaurant was fully renovated in 2000. In 2004, "Yvette's Inn"is born in a more Vosgian style.
In terms of well-being and sports, 2008 saw the creation of 2 aesthetics rooms and a sports gym! For you... a continually improving offer.
As for outside activities, we designed a park in 2009. An area entirely dedicated to relaxation between walks among the flowers and various fruit trees, relaxation on the sofas placed here and there, and on the sandstone beaches overlooking the river.
2013: Opening of a new 2000 m² relaxation zone called Spa by Julien, that includes an indoor / outdoor pool, heated in the summer and winter as well as many other very high level facilities: panoramic sauna, kneipp, Turkish bath, hammams, panoramic jacuzzi, ice fountain, salt cave, relaxation rooms, Fitness... And a brand new Beauty Institute with 5 treatment rooms.
2014: Opening of the Mountain Rooms. Cosy with a modern atmosphere, very comfortable!
